Head-Pro at Golf d’Hulencourt since 2013, Jérôme Theunis runs the Hulencourt Golf Academy.
A former Belgian Junior champion, Jérôme Theunis went to university in the United States, near Dallas, where he studied and worked on his golf. Squaring up to the big names of his generation such as Charles Howell or Adam Scott, Jérôme had two successes on the American University Tour (in Louisiana and Texas).
He went on to have a great professional career on the Challenge Tour and the Alps Tour. Notably, in 2004 he won the Neuchâtel Open Golf Trophy (Switzerland) and the Belgian Omnium.
When he stopped his career on the Tour in 2008, he became coach to the Belgian Ryder Cup star Nicolas Colsaerts. He helped Nicolas rise to take his place among the best players in the world and continues to follow his progress very closely today. Together with Colsaerts, he even took part in the World Cup in 2011, a prestigious competition which involved Rory McIlroy, Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose.
On the European Tour, Jérôme also coaches Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry, the great promise of European golf and former Top 10 World Amateur, coaching him primarily for putting and short game.
An avid golfer, Emmanuel Spies is a physiotherapist specialised in sporting rehabilitation, analysis of sports movement and orthopaedic manual therapy.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was personal physiotherapist to Justine Henin from 2009 to 2011. His experience on the professional tennis circuit led him to look after many top-level players who officiate on the ITF, ATP and WTA Tours.
Emmanuel has specialised for a number of years in the physical monitoring of golfers as well as biomechanical analysis of swing. He is an instructor at the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He is also in charge of the physical preparation of the young people selected by the Association Francophone Belge de Golf (AFG).
For each person he treats, Emmanuel analyses their bodily strengths and weaknesses and the constraints of the sporting or professional activity of the golfer in order to establish a treatment and training plan adapted to needs and objectives.
