Lead Instructor at Golf d’Hulencourt since 2013, Jérôme Theunis runs the Hulencourt Golf Academy.
A former Belgian Junior champion, Jérôme Theunis went to university in the United States, near Dallas, where he studied and worked on his golf. Squaring up to the big names of his generation such as Charles Howell or Adam Scott, Jérôme had two successes on the American University Tour (in Louisiana and Texas).
He went on to have a professional career on the Challenge Tour and the Alps Tour. Notably, in 2004 he won the Neuchâtel Open Golf Trophy (Switzerland) and the Belgian Omnium.
When he stopped his Tour career in 2008, he became coach to the Belgian Ryder Cup star, Nicolas Colsaerts. He helped Nicolas to take his place among the best players in the world and continues to work with closely today. Together with Colsaerts, he also played in the World Cup of Golf in 2011, a prestigious competition which involved Rory McIlroy, Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose.
Today, Jérôme has expanded his Tour coaching duties and currently coaches two other Belgian stars, Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry, winners of the 2018 World Cup of Golf.
PGA (Professional Golfers Association) member, Peter Bacon joined the Hulencourt Golf Academy in May 2019 as Lead Instructor.
A great coach with a lot of experience, Peter Bacon is a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) instructor and is one of the few pros in Belgium able to teach the renowned “Aimpoint Method”. Aimpoint is a Tour-proven green reading methodology that allows golfers to read greens using their feet to determine the slope percentage for a given putt.
Peter Bacon is certified with a Masters in Trackman and is experienced in giving lessons with SamLab and Skytrack technologies.
Naima has been teaching as Instructor at the Hulencourt Golf Academy by Jérôme Theunis since 2014.
After an impressive amateur career as a junior in Belgium, Naïma spent a large portion of her professional career on the Ladies European Tour. Today she is also the national team coach for the Belgian ladies team.
Pragmatic and attentive to her pupils, she coaches several juniors and often runs the Academy’s golf schools, junior camps and other collective lessons.

An avid golfer, Emmanuel Spies is a physiotherapist specialised in sporting rehabilitation, analysis of sports movement and orthopaedic manual therapy.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was personal physiotherapist to Justine Henin from 2009 to 2011. His experience on the professional tennis circuit led him to look after many top-level players on the ITF, ATP and WTA Tours.
Emmanuel has specialised for a number of years in the physical monitoring of golfers as well as biomechanical analysis of the golf swing. He is a certified instructor at the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He is also in charge of the physical preparation of the juniors selected by the Association Francophone Belge de Golf (AFG).
For each person he treats, Emmanuel analyses their body strengths and weaknesses as well the constraints of the sporting or professional activity of the golfer. On this basis, he establishes a treatment and training plan adapted to the individual needs and objectives.
